Looking to have a go with the The Digital Analysis System for Humanities but finding little clue about how to start off? At the 9th International Conference of Digital Archives and Digital Humanities 2018, the Academia Sinica Center for Digital Cultures (ASCDC) will use concrete examples to illustrate how to conduct research on the platform.
Since its inception in 2009, this conference aims to advance the digital humanities through the exchange of ideas among scholars from all over the world. The topic for this year is "Facing the Era of AI + DH."
We are pleased to be invited to hold a workshop for the Digital Analysis System for Humanities at the conference. Mr Wang Hsiang-an, our IT director, will show the audience how to work with the platform with key points as follows:
- To use the open data on the platform
- Text mark-up and classification
- Flexible query and text comparison
- Term frequency analysis and associative analysis
- Data visualization (e.g. social network analysis and GIS)
- Collaborative research
To facilitate research in making use of computational techniques, we look forward to your participation in the workshop and the conference such that the efforts to upgrade the research environment can have more people involved. We are keen to learn of your questions and needs to keep up our digital service.
