Overview

This case is based on Vietnamese Hán Nôm ancient books collected by the Hán Nôm Institute of the Vietnamese Academy of Social Sciences. The research methods used are Chinese classical documentation studies, the study of cultural interactions in East Asia, and digital humanistic research. The purpose of the research is to know the significance and value of Vietnam in Southeast Asia. The purpose of the study is to confirm the significance and value of Vietnam in Southeast Asia. This study will take Vietnamese traditional knowledge as the research object, use Hán Nôm ancient books as research materials, according to Sinology as a frame of reference. We hope to be able to conduct research on "digital humanities technology" and "specific issues" within three years. The task of the first year is to use digital technology to build a data system: “Hán Nôm Ancient Books Circulation Track System,” and to create an authority file database about Hán Nôm ancient books. In the second year, the stage of research on specific issues begins. The question we will discuss at this time is the construction process of Vietnamese traditional knowledge. At the same time, we will continue to improve the “Hán Nôm Ancient Books Circulation Track System.” The issue to be studied in the third year is the production and diffusion of Vietnamese traditional knowledge. At the same time, the amount of data in the “Hán Nôm Ancient Books Circulation Track System” has been increased. This way, it can be used as a preparation for the digital collection work with the Hán Nôm Institute of the Vietnamese Academy of Social Sciences. The research results are helpful for the study of Southeast Asian sinology. It can also help other researchers and the general public to know more about Vietnam. The “Hán Nôm Ancient Books Circulation Track System” can provide researchers with different research perspectives.
