Overview

The Integrated Indigenous Research Project is carried out by the Institute of Taiwan History and Institute of Ethnology, Academia Sinica. Since 2020, it has aimed at integrating Taiwan's research efforts and incorporating both historical and ethnographic approaches to study issues of traditional territory, transitional justice and urban migration of indigenous peoples, with the expectation that these research results would contribute to the benefits of Taiwan's indigenous groups. In addition to regularly holding keynote speeches in 2022, and awarding and supporting graduate students related to indigenous peoples studies (4 per year), this project will hold an workshop with "identity" as the topic in November 2022.
