The Ministry of Culture and the Academia Sinica Center for Digital Cultures (ASCDC) have collaborated for a year and a half on the preparation of the "Digital Archive International Curatorial Project." Recently, the grand exhibitions of "National Treasure" and "HALL OF SHARED HAPPINESS: The Zhongshan Hall" have been unveiled at the Open Museum. These two digital exhibitions combine precious digital collections with technology-driven interactive experiences, presenting Taiwan's rich and diverse cultural facets in Chinese, English, and Japanese.

The "National Treasure" digital exhibition meticulously curates 31 national treasures from eight domestic institutions. Highlights include the majestic and finely decorated bronze artifacts from the Shang and Zhou dynasties, crystal-clear and exquisitely crafted prehistoric jade artifacts from Taiwan, richly glazed porcelain from the Ming and Qing dynasties, as well as the delicate and uniquely designed Koji Pottery by renowned Taiwanese ceramic master Ye Wang. Navigate the boat by moving the mouse, embark on a "treasure hunt" adventure with just a click, and effortlessly collect the national treasures hidden in the mountains and forests one by one into your bag.

Under the innovative presentation module design of the Open Museum, the splendid and colorful treasures spring to life, capturing your attention in an instant. Click on the images of these artifacts, follow the visual and textual guides to explore the entirety and intricate details of the "Zoo-Anthropomorphic Jade Earring" at the National Museum of Prehistory, appreciate the graceful swimming posture of the golden fish in the "Revolving Vase Decorated with Swimming Goldfish and Gold Tracing on Cobalt Blue Glaze" at the National Palace Museum, observe various perspectives of the "Bronze Animal Figurine Stand" at the National Museum of History, and compare the differences in colors between original, facsimile and manuscript versions of the "Antique Map of Taiwan during the Kang-Xi Period" at the National Taiwan Museum. Intuitive navigation combined with clear and concise guidance makes national treasures more accessible than ever before.

Furthermore, for the first time, the Art & Architecture Thesaurus Taiwan (AAT-Taiwan) concepts have been employed to link and cross-reference a total of 442 related artifacts from six databases. These include the National Palace Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the British Museum, the Rijksmuseum, the Europeana, and Japan’s e-Museum . Clicking on the "Recommended Objects" provides access to a diverse collection of international treasures.Furthermore, for the first time, the Art & Architecture Thesaurus Taiwan (AAT-Taiwan) concepts have been employed to link and cross-reference a total of 442 related artifacts from six databases. Indulge in Shared Pleasures – "HALL OF SHARED HAPPINESS: The Zhongshan Hall"

Originally constructed during the Japanese rule as the "Taihoku Public Auditorium" and completed in 1936, the "Taipei Zhongshan Hall" has borne witness to historical events such as Japan's surrender and the signing of the Sino-American Mutual Defense Treaty. It stands as a significant landmark in Taiwan's regime change and cultural transformation. Moreover, it has nurtured the development of folk songs, modern dance, cinema, and served as a gathering place for leisure activities such as stargazing, haircuts, and rendezvous. Professor Tung Shen, the principal curator of the "HALL OF SHARED HAPPINESS: The Zhongshan Hall," a collaboration with the ASCDC, and a faculty member at the Graduate Institute of Musicology, National Taiwan University, expressed, "In the exhibition title, the term '樂' refers to music, and naturally, it can also signify happiness."

In 2016, Professor Tung Shen was invited by Zhongshan Hall to curate a splendid offline exhibition commemorating its 80th anniversary. This online exhibition is based on that physical event, with Professor Tung Shen extracting the essence of the exhibition and reinterpreting it through innovative design, breaking away from the rigid pathways of traditional physical exhibitions. Visitors can meander through a hand-drawn architectural illustration of Zhongshan Hall, created by Taiwan's traditional architectural scholar Cian-Lang Li, and freely explore various thematic units such as "Touches of History," "Enter the Front Gate," "Enjoy the Show," "Press Reader," "Have a Cup of Coffee," and "Host an Event." This immersive experience includes over 270 vintage photographs and digital archives.

Simultaneously, with an approachable narrative, the historical materials of over 80 years are encapsulated in "The Twelve Wonders of Zhongshan Hall" cards, alongside an interactive game of "Host an Event," allowing visitors to focus on the unique and diverse charm of Zhongshan Hall, immersing themselves in the historical events of that era.Simultaneously, with an approachable narrative, the historical materials of over 80 years are encapsulated in "The Twelve Wonders of Zhongshan Hall" cards, alongside an interactive game of "Host an Event," allowing visitors to focus on the unique and diverse charm of Zhongshan Hall, immersing themselves in the historical events of that era.
